Together with Great Grandma

Great Grandma had her hands full yesterday! What a great gift, to be able to hold both girls together. When we got to the hospital, Mary's parents were there and her father was the first to get to hold the girls. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of that, but for those of you who know him, you won't be surprised that he is a natural!

We took this one of all the grandmas - great and just regular! We are proud little peacocks!

My mom held the girls for probably an hour and they were so content being near each other. At one point they started to squirm a bit and wiggled until they were nose to nose. It looked like they kissed each other and of course, I was not quick enough with my cell phone to catch the moment, but this final picture comes close...they are so sweet...it was a sweet moment...

Ashley is on the left and Norah is on the right. Ashley is still a bit bigger than Norah - just shows that these pictures are hardly doing them justice. They are just a smidge below six pounds...maybe this weekend they'll hit that mark!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Love, love, LOVE the pictures! That last one, oh my goodness...no wonder it is so hard to leave them! Sounds like it won't be a whole lot longer, though, the way they are progressing...what sweet, little blessings!

  2. So so sweet! I'm feeling all sure of myself thinking that Ashley is on the right with her arm across her sister and then you said that was Norah! Humph! Love how full their little faces are getting.
You know, growing up in a family where nobody knew the Lord....I sat and looked at the pic of the girls and their grandmas and thought...these sweet girls are so oblivious to the amount of love they have..and the women in their family, starting with mommy and aunts and grandmas and great grandma..what prayer warriors they have in their corner!! God is so very good! Made me cry I am so happy and grateful for them.
