Believing the Word of God...

...and acting on it, no matter how I feel, because God promises a good result.

"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ."

"For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith."

"The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God.  Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves."

"This is the only thing I want to find out from you:  did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?"

"The righteous man shall live by faith."

"But the scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe."

"For we through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness."

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God..."

"...in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one."

"Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called..."

"And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises."

Faith - it is a gift from God that is vital for the Christian life.  It affects everything we do.  If we walk in unrighteousness, if we love our sin, if we look like the world, it is evidence of a lack of faith, right?

Now, just because you are given faith, doesn't mean you will automatically walk by faith.  You have it, and you are responsible to use it.

Enough said.
