But thanks be to God,
who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my beloved brethren,
be steadfast, immovable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord,
knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
I Corinthians 15:57-58
Okay, so today we are going to do a little dictionary study of the above verses:

through - from one to another
our - possessive
Lord - a person who has control, authority or power over others
Jesus

Summary: Jesus is Lord. He has given us victory over our enemy (sin, satan, the flesh, death). Because of this victory, we must be firm in our purpose and immovable in our service of the Lord, understanding that no matter how hard it is, it is not without value in Christ.
